The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

That's not the same as using a virtual IP for redundancy....
Multiple DNS entities give you basic load balancing, and some
redundancy for new connections. However, existing connections are
going to die when the interface does.
With virtual IP on the other hand, an interface can die and nobody will notice.
