So, everything on this new drive is "hot". Probably because when we did
the add drive and balance data it decided to place all writes there while
it also started dumping other data into it.

Kind of makes you wonder if you're better off going to the old methods
like saving all data to tape (perhaps twice). Initializing all drives,
while adding the new drives. Do a restore. This has the benefit of
increasing the number of drives supporting the raid striping while also
balancing the data and not being concerned about what's hot.

We actually have done a few unload/reloads back on AS/400's to balance
drives.
