What has not impressed you? That the process took a little over 8 hours to complete, or you do not see much in the way of a change? I don't know what time period the WRKDSKSTS observation is for, if it's not about 5 minutes or so, it's not representative of what's going on anyway.

Maybe the system was already well balanced from a usage standpoint. Granted it could not have scattered it across a disk that was just added, but over time it would have.
