Something about that sounds familiar. Can she map the drive using
"Connect using a different user name" and in that try the password with a
leading Q? A password on your i of "1234" and "Q1234" are the same thing.
Something I remember back from S/36 migration.

CRTUSRPRF USRPRF(DUMMY) PASSWORD(Q1234)
Then I could log on as DUMMY with a password of 1234.

We got kind of restrictive in our Windows passwords to avoid such a
situation. We are also using Tivoli Identity Manager to sync up our 10
lpars, Windows, etc. I know the "black helicopters" crowd feels that
keeping your passwords different between Windows and i is a good thing
because they feel that Bill is the AntiChrist and probably makes it too
easy to crack Windows passwords and therefore then can get into your i.
Frankly, determining someone's password on the i often is easy enough to
do using many of the social techniques used by numerous other OS's and
keeping them different just causes a lot of interconnection issues.
