according to your code sample the parameter is defined as 1 character in
both places. I can't see where you'd have a problem. If I left justify a
1 character field and then only use the first (or last) character I get
the same value. For example, if I have
'X'
is that left justified or right justified? Both. If I move that to a 1
character field what gets truncated? Nothing. Now, let's use this:
'X '
Is that left justified or right justified? Left. If I move that into a 5
character field what gets truncated? Nothing. It's already 5 characters.
The MTU just was addressing fields of unlike lengths.
