We run windows programs such as Check Image creating from text file, MICR verify and Other Check processing programs that do not run on the iSeries. We push and pull CSV files back and forth as well as zipped files of images. Some of the image processing pegs the CPU on the IBM Blades we use. They can be very CPU intensive processes. We also have a windows server that reaches in to our DMZ and pulls uploaded check images off of our servers. These images are then read by our iSeries, indexed into a database and place on our NAS via a mounted directory.

We may change the process to store the base64 encoded image strait into our database and eliminate the NAS piece. (Currently do not have the local DASD to support the 1TB of images we have thus the NAS.)
