Your example works for me as well.

However the issue I am asking for help with is using CPYTOSTMF to the
directory name ending with period
CPYTOSTMF FROMMBR('/QSYS.LIB/QTEMP.LIB/TEST.FILE/TEST.MBR')
TOSTMF('/REPORTS/TEST./SALES.PDF') STMFOPT(*REPLACE) STMFCODPAG(*PCASCII)

Completes with message "object copied" but no file exists in the directory
(using WRKLNK to look in directory and Windows explorer with mapped drive)

No problem at 6.1

MKDIR '/temp/test.'
edtf '/temp/test./doc.txt'

Works for me at v5r3.

I have a client that is adamant they need a directory in the IFS where

Apparently this is not allowed in windows but the customer does not
care "they are only going to use files in the IFS"

I can create a directory in the IFS that ends with a period

When I use CPYTOSTMF to create a file in the directory, the command
runs fine with no errors in the joblog only a message CPCA082 "Object
copied"

However there is no file in the directory, and I cannot find the file
anywhere.

Any ideas?

How can I get files into the directory ending with period?

Thanks in advance for any ideas and/or suggestions
