I had thought of using a data area, and using the same pointer
resolution techniques we used to use for handling unrecognized terminal
types (and allowing users to define them in a data area).

But when I implemented this option, I was rather violently reminded of
why I yanked that code out, once (thanks to IBM ceasing the development
of new Twinax terminals) it had outlived its usfulness: Data areas are
system-domain, and attempting to get a pointer to one at Sec40 throws an
access exception.

I could always still use a data area, using QWCRDTAA to examine it, but
does anybody know of a better solution?
