Well, Paul, if I REALLY thought IBM would care about the conduct of their
BP's I'd be concerned.

I'll NEVER forget one BP that wouldn't sell me an Ethernet card back during
y2k (It was an IBM mandated via BP item!) because he wouldn't make any money
on it... "Talk to me about an upgrade and I'll talk to you about the
card..." Took him straight to Jarosh...NOTHING HAPPENED! And, I'm sure you
know as many bad BP stories as I do...

FORTUNATELY, even though the bad ones get most of the airplay, they're not
in the majority!

Subject: Another Bad BP story

I know this should be in the non-tech list, but here goes:

I watched the thread started by Jerry, and some of the responses he got
about getting a better business partner. Does anybody have a number at IBM
to report a rip-off artist BP?

I just got an email from a client who is being told by his software
company/BP that he needs WAS 7 to upgrade to the latest version of the
software package, and that the BP will ship him the CD's for the small
charge of $125.

The BP also told him that if he wants help in installing the software, they
would do it for the nice sum of $1500. This BP does this to his other
customers, too.

Anybody got a set of the WAS 7 CD's? Contact me off-line.
