Source Files in *SYSTEM Domain?

Has anyone see a source file that is in the *SYSTEM domain? We have a
3rd party product that provided us the source 10+ years ago and I am
having to recompile all the programs for 6.1. Most were created under
3.6 with no Observable info. The programs are *USER domain but the
source files are *SYSTEM domain.

Weird and is causing some issues when I try to make a change to the
source member info. PDM cannot retrieve the current values when trying
to change source type or description.

How do you patch these object back to *USER domain or is it easier to
create new source files and copy the members over?
