The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.

Greetings. Issue with the Web Administration GUI. First, the path that
you are describing on the failing system is the path for the Create
Application Server.
Or at least that is what it sounds like. The Create Web
Services Server can be access vis multiple locations. From the Main 'Setup'
tab, or in the left navigation under the 'Common Tasks and Wizard' list .
Please try both of these routes. If this does not work then a PMR is the
best route to get this corrected. Up the severity as necessary.
I'm using the same path on both systems, but getting different results.
Going to "HTTP Server Administration" from the "I5/OS Tasks" menu, I
get a new tab with a menu on the left. I go to the wizard from "Create
Web Services Server" in the top section, "Common Tasks and Wizards."
On our box, it takes me to "Specify web services server name"; on the
customer box, it skips that and takes me directly to "Specify User ID
for Server."
We've got a PMR open, but there are very severe limits to what they can
do with us on a box that isn't ours. They suggested that the customer
should be opening the PMR, or empowering us to open one on their behalf.
Einstein once defined insanity as "doing the same thing, repeatedly,
under the same conditions, and expecting different results." I guess a
corollary would be that "presenting different results from the same
actions under ostensibly the same conditions" would be a definition of
an insane system.
