Using Image Catalogs @ V5R2

I am trying to use image catalogs on V5R2 and had great success until I tried cleaning up after I had installed the software. When I run cmd LODIMGCLG and use option *UNLOAD so that I could remove the image catalog I get error OPT1605 RC 06 which is telling me I need to export the volume before it can be unloaded from virtual device OPTVRT01. Not real sure what the error is trying to tell me or how or what I export. I've tried using image catalogs on another iSeries at V5R4 and do not get this error message.  Any ideas would be appreciated. What I am installing is an update to third party software and not IBM pfts.
