Yes, there is a way to limit this - there are 3 buttons on the tool bar for executing - executing only selected, executing all, or executing from selected to end. It's all there, for you delight and pleasure!

The Ctrl-Y issue, well, I try that but am not surprised when it's not doing what it does very often. Some software does a redo with a Ctrl-Shift-Z - gotta look at the help text.

But worse, ctrl z undoes the last change in the script as you would expect... ctrl y does not redo as you might expect.. It executes the selection!!!!!
