You can also have Worldship write back to your files on the system at the
time of scan as well. We have been doing this for years

Here at work we have Worldship integrated to our ERP (Infor A+). The
shipping person scans the packing slip which contains the order number.
That in turn gets the information from our Order files and populates the
UPS
machine and the person then prints out the label(s). When the UPS machine
is closed out at End of Day that shipping information is populated back
the
Order files and all is well. I did not set any of this up but it is done
via an ODBC connection with Client Access. We do have an intermediate
file
setup on the iSeries that contains all the UPS data for shipments that is
used to push data back into A+ when the UPS machine is closed out at End
of
Day.

I've been asked to evaluate the possibility of using UPS' Worldship
shipping
software in our warehouses. The software would communicate via ODBC with
the ERP system running on our iSeries.

Does anyone have any experience with using Worldship in a similar
situation?

Thanks!
