Hi Arco,

no, that's not possible, using GRANT.
Thinking in SQL, the connecting user might be another user, as the user of the running programm, and the privileges of the connecting user controll the access to tables, views, ...
But this concept doesn't work for embedded SQL talking to the local database.

Subject: Is there an SQL equivalent for *AUTL ?

Hi list,

In our DDL scripts for building SQL stuff we invoke command line calls to
set the authority to an authorization list.

CL:GRTOBJAUT OBJ(*CURLIB/MYSTUFF*) OBJTYPE(*FILE) AUTL(MYAUTLIST) ;
CL:GRTOBJAUT OBJ(*CURLIB/MYSTUFF*) OBJTYPE(*FILE) USER(*PUBLIC) AUT(*AUTL)
REPLACE(*YES) ;

I can't find a way to do this via an SQL GRANT statement. Does anyone know
if this is possible?
We are at 7.1.

Best regards,
-Arco
