As far as I know the ASMI port can only be accessed via HMC or webbrowser.
I have a situation where I need to access remote systems ASMI port thatare
not setup to use HMC, they are using LAN Console. The default IP's forthe
ports are shipped as 169.254.2.147 and 169.254.3.147. If you look atIBM
documentation to access this they always seem to write it up in such away
that they expect you to be locat to the machine with a PC locallyattached
and a PC IP on the same network as the default ASMI IP address. Hasanyone
else had an issue with this, if so how did you get around it, unlessthere
is an easy way to toggle a system from using LAN Console and then backto
HMC or vice/versa.list
