when I start the
REXEC server the commands completes on the source machine but I never
see anything on the target machine that I can find. No spooled files,
no job logs, no entries in QHST.

Hello Joe,

RunRmtCmd: Enclose the command in quotes, specify *ip instead of *sna, have a valid user and password.

Have a look at the *source* system job for output from the target system.
I've been using this approach many times in the past without problems.
