Haven't got time to test it - but it just occurred to me that xyz probably doesn't have to exist. As long as you "eat" the error by coding an (E) extender on the call so the program doesn't stop I suspect it would still work. Not sure that percolating an error message is any faster than actually resolving a calling a program but ...
