Paul,
I don't have that option in iSeries Nav V5R4, unfortunately.

Paul,the
Yes but, How do you do a simple Select of a table with iNav that
returns
column heading?
As I wrote David, when I use iNav I tend to think in terms of the
column name, so this is not a problem for me but, what if
set thatshow the headings? I suppose I could write a program that createsinfo
views with the
found in QADBIFLD for the column heading (SELECT ColumnName AS a
DataFromDBIHDG ) but, IMHO, it would be better if I could
from time to time.as an option within iNav.
I know that Barbara Morris from IBM monitors this list
departmentNow we need that her equivalent in the corresponding DB2
the columns.joinsus
as well :-)

Thanks for the SQL Assist tip that I did not know existed.

You can use SQL Assist (Edit->SQL Assist or press F4
the headings
Or just do a select * from table and have a look at
QSYS/QADBIFLDin the result set.
Or, if you are using a schema, run a SELECT on the SYSCOLUMNS
view in the schema with a where clause on TABLE_NAME.
Or, if you are not using a schema, run a SELECT on
(MIDRANGE-L) mailinglist--with a where clause selection on DBILIB and DBIFIL
