Scott,

Never have seen a URL hotspot in action - but seems 'miles' simpler (or
is there a bunch of programming required?)- if that capability is there
in Mochasoft. I will take another look at the archives.

Anyone have an example of this?

Do you mean for the user to click a URL on the 5250 screen? AKA, a "URL
Hotspot"?

Or do you mean that the user types an option number on a menu, and it
launches the browser with a URL, (typically achieved with STRPCCMD and
ShellExec_RunDLL)?

Both of these have been discussed to exhaustion in the past. Try going
to http://archive.midrange.com and searching on some of these:

* strpccmd ShellExec_RunDLL
* strpccmd FileProtocolHandler
* URL hotspot
* client access url hotspot
