STRCMTCTL has a scoping parameter, a transaction can be scoped to the activation group or to the job. this means transactions can be isolated from each other by activation group if you like.

Subject: ACTGRP and commitment

Saw a couple of interisting ads for RPG programmers. One said 'someone who can understand the code and not just use the debugger'.
Another was interesting in that it went into all the details of rpg programming in order to list the different skills required. Another point was 'candidate must understand activation groups and their impact on commitment'. That eliminates me, dagnabbit! What do they mean?
