I was just noting from what I've seen there is no need to go to that
extreme (shutting the system down) and felt that was pertinent since
many shops don't have the luxury of shutting down unless absolutely
necessary .

I think everybody agrees that if you want to swap the battery
concurrently, you need to fail the cache....
The discussion is about needing to fail the cache if you shut the
system down to swap the battery.
