never never never never never never try an ENDSBS to kill a job! We
tried
that once on a spool writer job which would not end. ENDWTR, ENDJOBABN,
etc would not work. All ENDSBS did was kill the rest of the writers.
And
we could not run STRSBS until the subsystem ended. End result: No
writers until we performed an IPL.

I think I have to repost this about every other month.

to back up /home and someone had a doc open...
Now endjob wont end it.
vrycfg wont vary off tape
endsbs wont end the subsys
ipl not an option...
