I was not always in agreement with him (indeed, the last message I have
on file from him was an argument over the purpose of having two separate
power inputs to a system, either one of which can power the entire
system), but I ALWAYS respected his opinions, even when I disagreed with
them. And there was never any question of respecting his vast skills or
knowledge.
