Some time back I heard/read/was told that for best performance the
first disk unit in the system ASP (The Load Source) should be flagged
for End Allocation and user data removed from it with STRASPBAL. So I
did this on Frankie just to see if I could notice anything. This has
been this way for many months. Today I happened to have WRKDSKSTS up and
saw this:

So DESPITE this, drive 1 is STILL the busiest on the system. Clearly
10% busy is in no way an issue but the max for any other drive is 5 with
the average probably about 3.
