There's two ways to skin that cat:
1 - RTM

I apologize for being too terse.

I fear that I have lost the context for which you suggested
values week(current date)
but ISTM that this will lead to execution in, let's say, the first week
of the year, the third week, the fifth week, and so forth (or second,
forth, sixth, and so forth). After a year with 53 weeks, you get two
executions scheduled just one week apart (or three weeks apart). That
does not match what I understood from David's original question.

HTH,
Terry.

You had a good reply from someone else but let me summarize it:

From STRSQL
VALUES WEEK(CURRENT DATE)

From imbedded sql in rpg
EXEC SQL VALUES WEEK(CURRENT DATE) INTO :week;

Hmm. How does that work in the year after a year with 53 weeks?
