NFS Share iSeries and Unix

We have NFS share between iSeries and Unix where iSeries is the server (
Exported ) and the Unix as client ( Mounted). The NSF share on the iSeries
side is /ERM. On the Unix side a CD /hei/Remote/forms give all the direcotry
under /ERM

However I was requested to created a subdirectory /ERM/TDC and I created it
with correct owner , primary group and CCSID. However it is not visible on
the Unix Side. Do I need to exlipcitly mount the /ERM/MON path or just the
Mount of /ERM ( which is already in place ) enough to let people view any
sub directory created under it /ERM.
