The .NET Provider that is provided with the IBM i Access product is a subcompoent of Data Access, not the Programmer's Toolkit. The documentation for the .NET Provider is in the Programmer's Toolkit.

Use these PDFs to identify what you have installed on your PC.

Note: if you upgraded your version of IBM i Access on your PC from a version that did not include the .NET Provider (anything prior to V5R3), the .NET Provider will not be automatically installed on your PC. You do the upgrade first, then run Selective Install to add the .NET Provider.

Be sure you install the latest Service Pack for IBM i Access on your PC after you install the .NET Provider. There are many fixes to the provider that are required to get everything working.

Thanks for that tip Sam, but on my machine I only see "GUI BUILDER" and
"RESOURCE SCRIPT CONVERTER" in the Programmers Toolkit. Could it be I
didn't install it all?

If you are doing .NET development that needs to access tables the
iSeries, then you may want the IBM DB2 UDB for iSeries .NET provider,
which come in the iSeries Access Programmers Toolkit.

DB2 connect sure rings a bell with me though. We may have it on a
Domino server running Windows. Does that make sense?

What's the context? DB2 Connect is a LUW program AFAIK.

don't know what to look for. GO LICPGM does show "5722ST1 DB2 Query

suggestions?
