It's evidently that time of year. We lost power here and I had to shut
down my model 270, which hasn't seen an IPL in months. Well, when it
came up a couple of issues appeared.
First, my console won't connect. Not sure what that's all about and not
sure how to diagnose it. The tube is connected with the cursor in the
upper right corner. CTL01 shows DSP01 in Vary on pending status, and
nothing else. But my startup procedure fires up TCP/IP and that is
working just fine.
More problematic is that I got the dreaded CPPEA12 and STRSST says that
my battery cache is in error condition. I don't remember seeing any
warnings, but that's probably my bad. In any case, can anyone remind me
of just how much pain I'm going to be in (I seem to remember it's a
relatively painless process, but not one to be undertaken lightly - you
need to know where to exert a little extra pressure). Also, anybody
know the going rate for one of these puppies? Is there a "home
enthusiast" alternative? :)
