I thought X-Windows is in PASE - seems I ran a VNC client to it and it worked. There is at least one desktop manager there. I see /QOpenSys/bin/X11 on a system, isn't that X-Windows? I'm a rookie with Unix and it's been a few years.

Brings up an interesting question. Has anyone on this list
successfully
installed and exercised an X server on their System i?

There was a Rochester software company that had an X server for the i
some time back but I seem to recall reading that they had stopped
trading. But I believe someone else did tell me that they had got
version running in PASE - darned if I can recall who or where though -
sorry.
