Yes, It would be included in the *ALLUSR group. The only exception would be if it were in an omit list (I always put QMPGLIB and QPFRLIB in the omit list since they are not needed for a recovery)

Hi Jim,
I checked the BRMBKUPLN and under this in 'Work with Backup Lists' there is a List Name called PROD.In this list name, however the name of DBSLIB is not there.
But strangely in last night's daily backup which is a cumulative backup this library-DBSLIB has been backed up.Not sure how this is possible
The name of this library-DBSLIB is not there in Backup Items under the related control group which runs in the daily backup.
One of the backup items is *ALLUSR.Is there a possibility that this library DBSLIB has been included in *ALLUSR Backup Item .
Please advice
Many Thanks
Darell

Darell:

If the library attribute is correct, is this library getting picked up
in the *ALLTEST vs. the *ALLPROD? There is no settings in the Back up
policy itself that would affect this.

The question I ask is have you created object lists that may be called
test or prod where that library is listed, and then use that list in the
back up control group? Try looking under Back Up Planning (BRMBKUPLN)
option 5 to see if object lists have been created. If so, you would
have to modify the lists to reflect the updated library type.

I don't have access to a copy of Navigator that has the graphical plugin
installed for BRMS so I can't look there to see if IBM stuffed a library
attribute in somewhere but I highly doubt they did. I also cannot find
any discussion of a special BRMS library attribute in any of the
documentation I have available.

(my BRMS version is V7R1 although I don't think the options/menus have
changed for these options since V5R4)

Hi,
Can anyone please let me know how we can change a particular library(DBSLIB) from Test library to a Production library in the BRMS Backup Policy.
When I do WRKLIB DBSLIB the attribute on AS400 shows PROD.Also this library is being backed up in our daily backup which runs at night.
I am not sure what we have to do in BRMS Back Up Policy for this library.
Please advice

Thanks
