I use a Microsoft wireless ergonomic keyboard, to the right of the F12
key is a key labeled "F Lock". When I first boot my pc, the functions
keys will not work. Once I press the "F Lock" key, the function keys,
insert key, etc function as you would normally expect them to.

Not sure what you mean by a F Lock key, can you explain?

If your keyboard has a F Lock key, that could cause the problem too.



From time to time while using PC5250 access my keyboard mapping for
F-keys and Up/Down keys will stop working.
