Vern, is it for IBM I (RPG,CL etc..) or java change management. We are
running V2 of RTCp and on the change management for RPG, COBOL, CL, CLLE ...
they need to do some major work to remove all the complexity. The current
version expects that you will treat RPG code like you would treat JAVA. Our
business partner for Rational Products (Oxford International) has been great
working with us and IBM to learn how change management works in an IBM i
shop.
Here is his contact information to get a good understanding of what is and
is not there for an IBM i shop.

Subject: Rational Team Concert for POWER - where to install?
I'm looking at RTC for POWER for software change management, etc. Saw
some stuff at a road show here in Mpls. by Rational, based on their
Orlando Innovate show. They didn't have specifics on the POWER version,
which has an option to install the server on an i, v5r4 and up.
The question here is, do I HAVE to install the server on an i to get the
functionality - it's a superset of the regular RTC - or can the server
be on any platform and still talk to the i? It is integrated with RDp,
by the way.
If installed on the i, you have to have some version of WAS installed.
That's probably OK, just wondering.
