I am afraid I was totally ignorant to the fact that the SAVF utilities had
compression capabilities. I just did a test and came up with the following
results:

SAVLIB to SAVF without compression: 43,008,000
SAVLIB to SAVF with compression: 8,409,088

Scratch the need for other compression utilities for savf objects! Thanks
Jon.

What's wrong with the built-in compression for save files Aaron? It
isn't quite as "tight" as pkzip etc. but close enough. I've had
situations in the past where zipping the savf had no impact on the
size at all.

We would probably want a compression mechanism to
lessen the size of save files.
