I had a customer get conned into a Power 7 machine by his consultant who
likes to "play" with stuff.

Our software was not impacted.

Subject: Kronos on IBM i 7.1

Trying to get all of our ducks in a row in preparation to upgrade from
5.4 to 7.1.

Spoke to Kronos, who supplies one of the packages we run, and the person
we spoke to had never even heard of version 7.1. He spoke to his
manager, who had (at least) heard of 7.1, but they hadn't installed or
tested their software on it.

Great. Why is there always a roadblock from a vendor when it comes to
upgrading this stuff?!

Of course, I could load the version that's been tested on 6.1 and try to
use it on 7.1, and hope everything works properly. I was wondering if
anyone out there has tried this? What sort of results have you had?
