The internal search function is temporarily non-functional. The current search engine is no longer viable and we are researching alternatives.
As a stop gap measure, we are using Google's custom search engine service.
If you know of an easy to use, open source, search engine ... please contact support@midrange.com.
In the interim, you can disconnect the UPS cable from the back of the
machine (while powered down) and that will stop the signaling from the UPS
to the machine to go down. Of course, now in a real disaster you would just
drain the UPS until the batteries are empty. I assume you plan to replace
UPS ASAP, as this would only be a stop-gap measure.
We always put in Powerware UPS's at all our accounts.

Subject: UPS Suggestions
I have a customer with a small 9405-520(base unit) and his UPS has
starting acting up and
causing unexpected IPLs.
IBM just told him over the phone that it's a bad UPS and it needs to be
replaced. The UPS is a BEST and I don't think they are even in business
these days.
They have one to prevent brown out problems more than anything else and
do not require nonstop operations.
Anybody researched small UPS systems lately ?
