SQL is built into the machine. There are numerous free ways of using it.
Including, but not limited to:
- RUNSQLSTM
- iNav's Run SQL Scripts.
- CRTQMQRY, STRQMQRY
- imbedding sql using the SQL CLI.
Now, if you execute the SPENDMONEY command you can also get
- STRSQL
- STRQM
- imbedding sql using a different technique than SQL CLI. I thought the
CLI method to be confusing versus the other imbedded technique. But,
those who are familiar with imbedding odbc calls into visual basic and
whatnot may not. There are also those die hard bit twiddler consultants
who love any struggle that puts wages into their pockets instead of lpp
income into IBM's.
