Replying to start a new thread is not good form. Replying with history is
even worse.
However, on to your problem.
How are you backing up? Standard OS commands? Menu option? BRMS? TSM?
We use all custom programs. And we have a file of libraries to back up
nightly and those to only backup during a full system save.
A typical SAVLIB DEV(TAP01) doesn't consume disk space in the form of save
files. It goes straight to tape.
Not sure what you are really running into.
