I'm not sure if it is the right place. I'm still gathering information on
what already is there, and if there maybe are other initiatives silent but
alive... There is also a (dead?) mailinglist at os400@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
And since Subversion is now part of the Apache SF, maybe it is worth to
explore if there are possibilities.

I'm also trying to figure out what OS400 modifications already are added to
the subversion repository itself, I downloaded the Softlanding port of
subversion at: http://www.softlanding.com/subversion/d-subversion.htm and in
the zips there is a pdf document which comments that from SVN 1.4.0 OS400
modifications are also kept in the repository.

Today I installed the AIX binary from
http://www.perzl.org/aix/index.php?n=Main.Subversion and it installed
without problems, however I didn't succeed to communicate and did not have
enough time to figure out where the problem lies.

Try again, Mark. I set up a Sourceforge account for myself. The ID is
"nandelin", still.

Are there others besides you, me, & Arco who would be interested in getting
involved? Is Sourceforge the best venue to collaborate on this?

I tried to add nandelin to the project, and nandelin@xxxxxxxxx, but both
failed. I think you need to create a source forge user, and I think you
can link that to the source forge id. I need your source forge id though.
Arco is in the project. I tried to log in with my yahoo openid, but ie
does not let me into the project with that, not as the project owner
anyway.
