could you possible leverage the SVN hooks to update the
'Master' copy held in an iLibrary?

I had to go read-up on Subversion "hooks" to know what you were talking about. They work like DB triggers. Serversion calls external routines when events occur. That seems useful; even if the call did something trivial like update an IBM i data area with a time stamp when an update occurs from an external source (web update), or something like that.
