Is it controlled via the async controller, default is either *SYSOPR or
system value QCFGMSGQ.

Wild. Never noticed that before. Not on CRTLINASC. Just looked at one
AsC line, and the message queue is there. Just no way to recreate. At
least not by just looking at the command with F4. What about CHGCMDDFT on
CRTLINASC?

Already thought of that. But... no parm for message queue on CRTLINASC.

How about:

RTVCFGSRC

Create a CLP:
Vary off the line, controller, and device(s).
Delete devices, controller, and line
Recreate the line, controller, and devices using the retrieved
configuration information.
Vary line, controller, and device(s) back on.

This way you can change the message queue parameter.

But, before doing that, I have needed to change information on remote
output queues. Can't be done if the writer is started. So, in that case,
just stopping the writer allows the output queue to be changed completely.

I have done it both ways. A CL program is WAY faster than you can type
the commands.

We have an async line for some remote timeclocks. Long ago I change
the message queue for the controller and device but can't find a way to do
that for the line. There is a "current message queue" parm on the display
but not on the "change".

Every once in a while, it really starts to bug me that they're
cluttering up my Qsysopr queue and today is one of those days.

Any suggestions on a way to move or suppress these?

Thanks.
