Read the file, extract the appropriate information, and call QCMDEXC
specifying the SNDEMAIL command. The MESSAGE parameter of the SNDEMAIL
command is the parm you want to use (I would think).

Its not the SNDEMAIL program that I am questioning, I 'm just trying to
create a holding area so that I can build on the fly the message that will
go into the subject line, I know it hard for me to explain what I need
done, if you look at the example that I gave, I need to create that with
the subject line by reading in a database file. I hope this help.....

RE: Question on email

All, I'm using the SNDEMAIL command, I need to create either a CL or
rpg
program that will read a database file and created one big message
field
to be send out, I know it hard to explain but here is a example, with
the
message box I need to put in the following:

job: xxxxxxx
Total record: xxxxxxxx
Accout number: xxxxxxx

How would I do this with a program or a cl program????

Not familiar with a command called SNDEMAIL. Do you know the
vendor/creator? If not, can you tell what library/ies it's found in when
you do
WRKOBJ SNDEMAIL
?
