Windows 7 requires 7.1 or 6.1 of System i Access with a minimum sp of
SI35607.

You can attach to 5.4 with 6.1 of System i Access of Windows.
WDSC will not be supported on Windows 7. WDSC reached it's end of life
last month.

According to that site neither
Rational Developer for i
nor Rational Developer for Power Systems Software
currently support Windows 7. RDi replaced WDSC. RDP replaced RDi.
However, this website says that Windows 7 is supported with RDP
