I know it is possible to have a HMC remote to an FSP but I have not set that up.

It's easy. Just choose "add system" and enter the IP address of the
remote FSP, and then it's HMC access password.

The tricky part is the whole networking stuff. It was easy to do here,
since we're a small shop and i have access to all the systems, but i
had to get this up and running at two of our larger customers, and
both involved two weeks of paperwork. Not a technical issue, though.

Love to go the blades, we have a blade center here with 10 of 14 slots filled. ÂWe do not have a SAN and the NAS we are running is very small and will not handle the I/O that our 3 tower Power 5 520 has with its 31 15K RPM drives across 3 controllers.

Just wait a bit more - a Power 7 blade with a SAN full of SSDs sounds
like a good idea.
