Our help desk is looking (in addition to existing Domino based help desk
software), Tivoli software to receive and process "alerts". Alerts are an
industry standard. Many clients can generate them. I think Byteware can.
When they send out an alert then the Tivoli software processes it. And
you can set up one standard place to handle alerts from disparate pieces
of equipment.

Subject: Dynamic Problem/Performance Reporting
Sent by: midrange-l-bounces@xxxxxxxxxxxx
Anyone have any experience with a product that would dynamically report on
status of problems and performance? I'm thinking that the product has to
be
open ended to enable different 'feeds', such as i information (job queue
depth, disk utilization, etc.) as well as things like number of calls on
hold, status of external processes, computer room temp - things like that.
Any comments welcome. Vendors can reply directly.
Thanks...
