When you save the data are you also saving the access paths? This may
have the save run a little longer and eat a bit more tape but it is well
worth it. Decades ago, on an AS/400, (an old forerunner to today's system
i) we did a full system restore from a backup that did not save access
paths. It took a week to get into some of the files. We deemed that
unacceptable in a DR situation and now always save access paths.
