Please can anyone advice me on the following:
There is a HP Printer hosted on Windows Print Server.This printer prints
junk charachters in PDF file intermittently .The printer name is EXPN005.A
printer with same name exsts on AS400.As per the device description of this printer.the Device Class is *VRT ,device type is 3812 and Model is 1.
Jim Franz adviced me to match the driver set up on system i with the windows print server setup.
Please advice how do I match up the driver set up on system i with windows print server setup?Also is there anything which the windows team need to do on this printer?
Request you to advise asap since the printer is critical to business.

has the recommended settings for HP printers.
If you are using the Win Print Server, it is using a particular driver for
that printer session, and the System i setup should match.
On the i, is this an *Lan setup, or Remote outq?
If supported for your model, I find the snmp driver more reliable than pjl
(but that is just my experience).
