I'm really keen to see your solution Simon. Mine is the product of
desperation many years ago and does look like overkill.

I saw your discussion about UIM and F23 but do no
longer have access to send anything to the midrange
lists. I tried to send you this suggestion yesterday:
To complete the design described by Simon you need to
have two versions of the LISTACT tag for each function key.
One with text and one without, and when you condition one
on you need to condition the other LISTACT off. I believe
that this means that you will need an extra set of conditions
and a larger truth table.
