I missed the 14 lines long part of your message.... are you looking at
id_rsa or id_rsa.pub?

Maybe the thing to do is ftp the .txt file I created up to the ifs??

I don't know that there is a way to expand the command line. I have 4
lines in mine and was able to finagle it.
Perhaps paste it into notepad first and then do it in chunks? Just keep
in mind that the string must be copied /exactly/ as it is in your
id_rsa.pub file.

Ok, hit a snag possibly, the key generated is like 14 lines long, if Icopy
and paste as recommended in step 6 under ssh-rsa, how can I make thestrqsh
screen area for typing(larger)?? Currently I run out of room

automatedIs anyone using this type of setup to move tape drive resources
between lpar's, if so could you provide an example, thanks.
I am wondering if this solution makes more sense than using an
task via the HMC itself.
I see Glenn beat me to it in posting a link to the writeup I did on
tape drive moves :)
We prefer this method rather than automating it on the HMC as we can
control the timing better, if one backup takes longer than expected.
It seems to be pretty reliable over the three years or so we've been
using the technique.
Regards, Martin
