A few months ago I installed Scott?s excel POI stuff and got it working. I
installed the Java classes where Scott recommended
(/QIBM/UserData/Java400/ext) and everything works great.

Just recently I downloaded Giovanni?s XLPARSE2 code as well. I can?t get
Giovanni?s code to work. I get an error when it starts to use Java to read
the Excel file. Giovanni was answering emails immediately on Friday night
(awesome!) and he finally suggested I test Scott?s program in XLPARSE2.
It?s having the same problem.

This call to Scott's test program ends with an error:

call xlparse2/xlpdemo

DSPLY Error occcured while parsing spreadsheet.

When I run Giovanni?s test, I get this. I believe this is the same basic
problem.

Message . . . . :   Java exception received when calling Java
method.
 Cause . . . . . :   RPG procedure XLPARSE_WO in program
XLPARSE2/XLPARSER4
received Java exception "java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: getType ()I"
when
calling method "parse201003" with signature "([B)V" in class

"com.iseriesnetwork.clubtech.xlparse.ParseSheet".

Giovanni says that his code isn't finding the Java class. We've checked the
install of the JAR's in the IFS, the classpath is set properly, and
everything else we could think of.

Any help appreciated. Thanks, Jack
